The Town Of Langenburg's Annual
RATE PAYERS MEETING

When:
Monday, May 28th, 2012

7:30 p.m. at
Langenburg Community Centre
101 Carl Avenue

This year's agenda will be posted soon!

Do you have questions for our Mayor and/or Town Council Members?

If you wish to submit questions for this open forum, please see Howard McCullough, Town Administrator, or email him at langenburgt@sasktel.net

Attendance at local meetings is the best way to become informed about how local government is protecting your community’s environment. Become familiar with the players in your town. See who else is attending meetings and find out their perspective on the environmental aspects of local issues.

What is this meeting about?

A public meeting of voters is not a council meeting. This is a meeting at which citizens, ratepayers and other voters participate actively, presenting information to or asking questions of members of council.

How to prepare for Town Meeting:

Request a copy of the town's annual report, review the monthly town council meeting minutes (available on-line here). If you have questions, you may wish to ask Howard McCullough, Town Administrator, before the meeting. But some of the answers may be found in that section of the annual report that indicates in detail the various spending accounts and how much was spent in the previous year; compare it with what is being requested this year. Also check as to how much money is in the surplus or undesignated funds account.

Whether you plan to make a statement or not, attendance at these meetings is important not only to learn the details of a proposed project, but to let the involved parties know that you are following their actions.
